Lamis Adam is a senior transactional lawyer with more than 13 years' experience advising domestic and international clients on complex financing, corporate, acquisition and commercial transactions across Australia, Africa and other international markets.
Lamis' experience spans both debt and equity transactions, including acquisitions, corporate restructures, share sale and subscription transactions, strategic investments and joint ventures. Her combined corporate and finance background allows her to advise on the interaction between financing arrangements, shareholder rights, governance structures and transaction execution, bringing a commercially integrated perspective to complex investment transactions.
Lamis has significant experience managing cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks, with a particular focus on risk allocation, transaction structuring, enforceability, corporate governance and successful execution.
Before joining Baystone Legal in August 2026, Lamis was a Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance team at MinterEllison in Sydney, including a secondment to National Australia Bank's Corporate & Institutional Bank, and previously practised at Herbert Smith Freehills, Hogan Lovells and Webber Wentzel (in alliance with Linklaters). Notable transactions include the award-winning Puma Energy ZAR 1.85 billion revolving credit facility, recognised as Local Currency Loan Deal of the Year at the Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Africa Conference.
