How we can assist
Advice on business sale agreements, due diligence, transaction conditions, warranties, negotiation and settlement for buyers and sellers.
Advice on buying or selling the centre property, including property contracts and coordination with the childcare business transaction.
Support with provider and service approval steps on a change of ownership, including applications, conditions and notifications to the relevant state or territory authority. ACECQA provides national guidance; service approval transfer and Commonwealth Child Care Subsidy approval are separate processes.
Review of new leases, assignments, renewals and the landlord consents that may be required for a change in operator.
Review and preparation of staff employment contracts, employee transfer arrangements on a sale, and workplace issues arising during a transaction.
Yes. A childcare transaction may include the operating business, the centre freehold, or both. The contracts and completion steps depend on the agreed structure.
A purchase does not automatically transfer approvals. Provider status, service approval transfer and notifications must be checked against the structure and jurisdiction. Child Care Subsidy approval is a separate process and cannot simply be transferred between providers.
We can advise on lease terms and landlord consent, alongside employment contracts, employee transfer arrangements and related workplace matters.
